It's not easy
being a kid today. They face many confusing issues and
pressures each day. More than ever our youth
need a clear map of where they are heading and what hazards
and signs they need to watch out for as they go through
their formative years.
Here at Crossroads we have a place where
kids can ask questions, look for directions, find out about the
hazards, and learn and grow into the person they want to be. A group
where no questions are too small or too dumb too ask. A group where everyone is treated with
respect and a mutual kindness amongst each other. But most of all a
group that gets together and has fun, laughs, good
times, bad times and where everyone can feel safe.
Every second Sunday we get together and tackle
everyday issues that youth face. During our Sunday morning service all youth in grades
5 through 8 are dismissed after our worship time to get together for their
programme. Using
games, hot topics, talk sheets, skits and discussion groups we
learn about the pressures faced by youth today and how we deal with
it in a God-pleasing way.
This youth programme is geared for students in high school.
