The Wave Student Ministries
JUNIOR WAVE (All youth grades 5 - 8)
We hope that your first week back to school went well. Watch your mail box for a letter from Ralph, and we look forward to seeing all the Junior Wavers next Sunday on the 14th.
SENIOR WAVE (All youth grades 9 and up)
The official start up date for the Senior Wave is Sunday, September 21st. More info to come.

 Crossroads Community Church Picnic
Join us for an afternoon of games, food, friends and good old-fashioned fun!
Where? Paulynn Park, 1571 Ravenscroft Rd, Ajax
When? Saturday, September 20th, 4:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m.
What to bring? Please bring a picnic dinner for yourself.
How to get there? Take Westney Rd North to Rossland Rd and turn left, turn right on Ravenscroft Rd and follow signs for Paulynn Park. We will have signs for Crossroads Church Picnic. We will have use of a picnic shelter and washrooms, water on site is not drinkable.

REGIONAL WORSHIP SERVICE
Join other CRC churches on Sunday, Sept. 7 at 6:30 pm at Emmanuel Reformed Church, 401 Rossland Rd., West in Whitby to hear Brian Dijkema, from the Christian Labour Association of Canada speak about the current labour and economic situation. His message is entitled: ‘In Good Faith: Work, Loss and Communities of Faith’.

SPECIAL INSTALLATION SERVICE
Please join us for the very special service next Sunday, September 14 at 10:30 a.m. when the formal installation of Norm Sennema, pastor of Crossroads will take place. Pastor Kevin DeRaaf from Faith Church in Burlington will be our guest speaker that morning, and will be doing the installation. Following the service, there will be a potluck luncheon.

SEA TO SEA BIKE TOUR
The word is out that George Vanderkuur made it back safe and sound from the Sea to Sea bike ride across the U.S. That took place this summer. We look forward to hearing all about his adventures. We give thanks to God for George’s return, and to the Christian Reformed Church who organized this ride to raise funds and awareness for poverty world-wide.

MONTHLY PRAYER MEETINGS
Monday, September 8 - You are invited to join others as they gather at The Ministry Centre at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow evening for this monthly gathering of the Prayer Team. It’s a chance to lay our needs before God and to give thanks for all of His blessings. If you are unable to attend, there are purple prayer request forms on the information table that you can fill out and, in order to respect your confidentiality, please place in the prayer envelope on the back bulletin board.
Sunday, September 14 - This is an opportunity to meet for prayer on the second Sunday of the month, half an hour before the service. If you would like to receive prayer or pray for others please come to the hallway behind the stage area at 10:00 a.m. Everyone is welcome
